Those who knew her closely called her Ayona. Others referred to her as Yonat, the Dove of Light, and today the light has dimmed.
She was eulogized: “I remember the early days of her furniture gallery. Each item had a price tag, and she’d always apologize for saying the price out loud. She didn’t yet realize how reasonable the prices were compared to the incredible work she did. I have some of her furniture in my house. Eventually, she turned a small carpentry shop into a boutique furniture empire. We lost touch over time but were about to reconnect. Now, she’s gone, and I’ll never see her again.”
