Refael Ariel Guri

Emergency Worker

A former Shabak (Israel Security Agency) agent, he was visiting his parents in Ofakim for the holiday. On Saturday morning, as soon as the shooting began, he ran outside toward the terrorists to fight and defend the city, together with his brother, Roi Haim. In their final moments, they fought with terrorists on the city streets. Both were killed.

“I always remember your sense of humor, your smile… you fell valiantly and left our hearts shattered.”

  1. To the family of Refael Ariel Guri,
We are so, so very sorry for your tragic loss. His smile in this photo shows what a good heart and lovable nature he had, and his death defending his country at the side of his brother is the ultimate noble last action. We are heartbroken for all that you have lost and we can only pray that you will find comfort from on high.
