With a broken heart and deep pain, Yosinio (Yosef) Gross was laid to rest by his family and the entire Nir Oz community. He was brutally murdered by wicked people. Yosinio came to Nir Oz as part of the Miran group from Be’er Sheva. His friends made sure he’d reach them at Nir Oz and find his home there, which is exactly what happened, even if he temporarily moved elsewhere. In recent years, he settled again in Nir Oz, maintained contact with his children Efrat, Dorit, Segev, Maoz, and Ma’ayan, and seemed to have found a sense of tranquility. Even after a recent tragedy befell Yosinio that he could not recover from — the sudden death of his son Maoz in a work accident – Yosinio, still vivid in our minds, walked to and fro, restless, in the dining hall area. A cigarette at the corner of his mouth, he was always ready to drive, help, or provide service to someone. His entire focus was on one goal — to provide sensitive, caring, and personal service to everyone through his love of driving. Who would have thought he’d meet his end in such a vile way.
“Our Yosinio — we already miss you deeply, as well as your mobile home. May your memory be blessed.”
