Yosef Tohar

Emergency Worker

Yossi Tohar from Moshav Azrikam was married to Liat Shor from Moshav Bittzaron. A perfect couple since their high school days in Beer Tuvia, they have built a wonderful family. The son of Eli Tohar and named after his uncle, Staff Sergeant Yossi Tohar z”l, (a commander in Training Base 1) who was killed in the early ’80s in Lebanon Yossi served in the Navy Seals and later in security forces, and thus defended Israel on the terrible day that befell the country. Yossi’s brother, Eli’s son, Roi z”l, was killed 22 years ago. The story of the Tohar family thus touches on every aspect of the State of Israel’s rise. The price is heavy to bear.
