Yonatan (Johnny) Ken Dror

He was eulogized: “John, my secret keeper. I’m still not sure I’ve fully grasped the fact that you are no longer here. The amount of things we’ve been through together, the experiences, the sadness, the fun, and the joy; how can one summarize a person like you? I promise to remember you every day. I promise to talk about you at every opportunity. I promise to continue spreading your light and energy to everyone I meet. You taught me what it means to enjoy the moment, taught me to put all the ‘bad’ things aside for the sake of the soul, showed me how music and dancing with close friends can transcend everything. I feel your light touching me every hour of the day and I promise to learn to shine from your beams. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your life and your heart, thank you for being a part of mine. You will remain a huge part of my heart forever. ‘Rafiki’ in Swahili means ‘friend’ – and thus you will always remain my Rafiki.”
