Tiferet Lapidot

She was the second of seven siblings. A graduate of the girls’ high school in Kfar Pines. She spent two years doing national service with at-risk youth. Afterward, she volunteered with a group of soldiers to benefit children in Africa, traveled to the Far East, and then settled in Australia where she began working to save money for her studies.

She was eulogized: “Our Tiferet, our dear Tiffy, the pain is immense, and reality is unfathomable. The words are written, but the mind refuses to believe these are words of farewell. The Joha 22 mission was blessed to have you as an amazing mission member. A volunteer who was a great light and a giant source of warmth for us all. A lover of humanity, merciful. Wise, curious, and challenging. A true friend. With a contagious smile, eyes full of goodness, and rolling laughter, you reached the heart of every teacher and child with whom you volunteered. We, the members of the mission, fell in love and were charmed by your magic, each and every one. From the first moments, you entered deep into our hearts. You were and will remain an integral and inseparable part of our mission. We were blessed by you, the children were blessed by you.”
