Tamar Kedem – a beacon of goodness who was killed by terrorists along with her husband Yonatan (Joni) and their three young angelic children, Shahar and Arbel, their 6-year-old daughters, and Omer, their 4-year-old son. Tamar had a very special connection to the city of Ashdod, the ‘Tzofim’ youth movement (Scouts), and the ‘Ashdodim’ movement, which she helped establish. About 15 years ago, she led the ‘Dotan’ tribe and was known as a trailblazer, an active young woman who excelled in everything she touched. Tamar, snatched away prematurely at the age of 35, built her life in the Eshkol Regional Council and had recently run for the council’s leadership position.
