Staff Sgt. Vitaly Karsik, an Israel Police investigator, fell in battle fighting terrorists at the music festival near Re’im. He leaves behind parents, a partner, children, and siblings. His commander eulogized him as a special person, a family man, and an exemplary cop. His friend Guy Feldman wrote: ‘Dear friend, may God avenge your blood, Vitaly Karsik. We served together for years in the heart of Tel Aviv. Recently, you moved to Ayalon for police work and were killed while working at the party near Re’im. I loved you very much. You were a special person, a man of the people.’

  6. We are so very saddened at this news. At the same time, we feel a great sense of pride for a holy Jew who gave up his life al kiddish HaShem, protecting our people. May his neshoma experience the aliya it deserves and may Vitaly’s family be comforted by the memory of this holy man.
