“Shai Arus was a leader in our school, a graduate of the Biomedical track who stood out for his generosity, sense of accountability, and contributions to others,” the principal of ORT Holon High School, Shlomi Ganon, said with sorrow.
Shai participated in the ‘Connections’ program and for a long time personally accompanied a Holocaust survivor, alongside many volunteering initiatives he led. Shai was also active in the ‘Acharai’ youth movement and was one of the leaders of the branch in the city. Shai wanted to enlist in the most combat-oriented unit. He was a particularly value-driven young man.
