Staff Sgt. Omri Niv Fierstein

Omri was known for his shining smile, his kindness, generosity, and humility. May his memory be a blessing.
His mother eulogized him: “The day before yesterday, a new date was added to my collection of dates. The day before yesterday, my life, our lives, changed forever. My Omri, our Omri, son of Kobi and Michali and your siblings, Maya and Mika… sweet Omri, good Omri, pure Omri, the stubborn, the fighter for justice, the knowledgeable, the smart and witty. Omri was a man of laughter and people, of conversation and consultation, of help and extending a hand. Family was always his priority. Much will be said about you, my young child, a child who will remain forever young. My light has gone out. My air pipe has narrowed to a minimum. I’ll need to learn how to do this, how to continue as a family from here. Rest in peace, my hero.”
