Shlomo Rashtnikov


Shlomo (Dima) Rashtnikov was born in Volgograd, Russia and moved to Israel in 2017, as part of the special “Naaleh” educational program,designed for teenagers coming to Israel without their parents for several years to complete their high school education. Shlomo was integrated into studies at Kfar Sitrin, a youth village on the Carmel Coast plain. When he finished twelfth grade, it was clear to him that he would stay in Israel. From Haifa, he served as a lone soldier in the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion, and was killed in combat in the country’s south.
