“The loss of Shlomo, the son of one of the city council managers, is very great and painful,” a city council worker, who works with Noam, Shlomo’s father mourned. “Shlomo was a quality guy like his father Noam, who is a dedicated worker in the managerial rank and a familiar figure in Kikar Safra, working there for many years. My heart is with Noam in his mourning. In a moment, his life turned upside down, changes and nothing will ever be the same again. I can only say that I hope he will be the last casualty in Gaza, it’s very hard that our children are fighting there, but it’s a war forced upon us and we must win it.”
One Response
. . . they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
