Shani Gabbai

She was eulogized: “Shani dear, we don’t know each other personally, but I had the privilege to hear from my son, Avihu, who was also at the music festival with friends and got to meet your father, Yaakov, who drove to rescue you under fire and put my sons and their friends who joined him in his car. Your father managed to save people, but unfortunately, he couldn’t save you. All these days we sat at home praying for your safety, we were sure you were kidnapped in Gaza. We just waited for your name to appear in the news, that you were coming home, but unfortunately, fate decided otherwise. They found you after a month and a half, and you are no longer with us. I send a big hug to the family and strengthen you as much as possible for what happened to us on 7.10.23. I want to personally thank your father who was there fearlessly and supported my sons. Yaakov dear, I share in your sorrow. May Shani’s memory be blessed. I will always remember you, Alona Abulof, Petah Tikva.”
