Sgt. Maj. (res.) Boaz Avraham

On Saturday morning, the seventh of October, Boaz was called to defend community as part of the Nir Yitzhak civil defense squad, while his family was locked in a shelter. In his last conversation with the family at 8:30 in the morning, he said that terrorists had entered the kibbutz and he sounded very scared; contact was then lost. Boaz, a farmer who works the land, was married to Daniela and a father to three children: Ron, Inbal, and Michal. He came to the kibbutz as part of a Nahal group to develop it and had lived and worked there for about forty years. He was a beloved figure in the community, a warm-hearted family man, always with a smile on his face.
