Sgt. Lavi Lifshitz

A warrior in the Givati Reconnaissance Unit, he fell defending his country in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. A photographer, an artist, a lover of people, a lover of life.

Lavi asked for his words to be read if, God forbid, something happened to him. Let this be his testament: “I do not regret enlisting in the Givati Reconnaissance Unit. It is something I am grateful for. Thank you to the country that gave me this opportunity, and thank you to my friends who gave me the chance for an extraordinary connection. In conclusion, I ask not to wallow in grief. It can be daily and exhausting. But the actions that can grow from it are not exhausting but constructive. Nothing is more difficult for me than inactivity. Therefore, I ask everyone around me – to act. Always.”
