Sgt. First Class Yinon Fleishman

Efrat Council is mourning the loss of soldier Yinon Fleishman. Yinon fell while serving on the northern border. He leaves behind his beloved wife Noa, and his young son Ziv, as well as his parents Benny and Michal and his siblings Daniel, Avishai, Rachel, Shulamit, and Shilah. The Council extends condolences to the extended Fleishman family.

Yishai Shnerb wrote: “Yinon Fleishman was one of the most talented people I’ve met. He had a rare combination of being the smartest man in the room while also completely lacking pretense. A mixture of humility and sharp wit. He was my ‘older study partner’ when I was in ninth grade, and he was two years older. We studied Talmud every evening, and he was well-versed and fluent in it. We didn’t keep in touch in recent years but met now and then. On one such occasion, he suddenly started speaking in Ancient Greek, which he studied at university. He’s the kind of person you can only describe like this on social media after their passing. How sad.”
