Ram and Lili Itamari

Resident of the Gaza Envelope

Ram was an extraordinary person. A quintessential kibbutznik, tough on the outside but gentle on the inside. Hardworking, funny, professional, and genuinely loved. He was always ready for a challenge, especially when help was needed. Above all, he was an amazing husband and father, who cared deeply for his family. He always made sure they had the best of everything.
Lily retired this year from the Ministry of Education after years of working to benefit youth in the south, and Bedouin youth. In recent years, she started engaging in the field that made her the happiest—overseas travel. She called her WhatsApp group “Lily Tours.” Lily organized trips for groups of women, teachers, and friends, and anyone who asked always received her best tips. Lily loved life and embraced it with both hands. Lily loved her son Tomer and her daughter Raz with every fiber of her being and was the proudest mother I’ve ever known. Lily loved Ram—her spouse, who had a big and generous heart, who always had a kind word, and who was always ready to assist anyone who asked.
