Netanel Young, originally from Britain, moved to Israel and joined the Golani Brigade’s 13th Battalion as a lone soldier. He fell in battle near the Gaza border on October 7, 2023. Thousands came to give him a final salute after a public call went out that his family was unable to travel to attend his funeral. His family said he had wanted to help protect Israel since he was 10 and took great pride in defending his country.
