Shai Pereg, Matan’s friend from college, mourned him: “You were not just a study buddy for me. You were a friend for life, someone who supported me, showed interest in what I was experiencing, and cared about my wellbeing. We had many conversations about life, love, and family. You loved your wife and children so much. It’s so sad that you won’t be here anymore to see them grow. The world has lost a unique personality.”
