Lieutenant Colonel Yehuda Natan Cohen, from Shadmot Mehola, was a platoon commander in the Givati Reconnaissance unit. He fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip at the age of 25. He is survived by his parents, Rabbi Dov and Tehila Cohen, and his siblings, Shlomi, Leah, Adi, Vered, Yiscah, and Maayan. He is remembered as a special child, modest, principled and idealistic, God-fearing, a lover of Torah and a fighter, an outstanding athlete, and a fascinating conversationalist.
