Lieutenant Colonel Salman Habaka, commander of Battalion 53, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. On October 7th, he rushed from his home southwards, gathered a few tanks, entered Be’eri, and saved the lives of hundreds of residents. During a battle with Hamas terrorists in the northern Gaza Strip, Battalion 13 encountered resistance, assistance was called for, and then Salman arrived, and led to the elimination of all the terrorists (about 30) without any of our soldiers being killed(!). Shortly afterward, Salman was hit and killed.
