Lt. Ariel Reich

Lieutenant Ariel Reich, 24, from Jerusalem, who fell in battle against terrorists in the Gaza Strip, had proposed to his fiancee, Noa, about a month before the war. His mother, Einav, passed away from illness several years ago. Reich attended the Himmelfarb School in Jerusalem and the Ma’ale Gilboa Yeshiva. Reich was a deputy platoon commander in the 77th Armored Corps Battalion and fell alongside Corporal, Asif Luger, after their tank triggered an explosive device. His cousin eulogized him: “My dear cousin, beloved of my heart, was killed yesterday in Gaza. We are shattered, unable to believe. Just last month we danced at your and Noa’s engagement party. My heart is broken into pieces.”
