Gideon came to Nir Oz as part of a group of young adults and joined his brother Ran’s family. He was about to celebrate his 80th birthday. His years were filled with goodness—devotion to his family whom he loved wholeheartedly, important roles in various fields, and a love for good food and wine. He had recently taken a significant role in the community as its secretary. His memory will be cherished for his kindness, politeness, and sensitivity.
“Our dear Gideon – You will be remembered by us for your generosity, kindness, and sensitivity, which are an inseparable part of the person you were. Your family, Nir Oz and its people, the kibbutz’s lawns and the small vineyard – will miss you endlessly. May your memory be blessed.”
