Osher, a regular service soldier stationed at one of the bases near the Gaza Strip, was urgently deployed on a Saturday morning to the area near Kibbutz Re’im due to the outbreak of war. His father Kobi drove him to the western Negev. Upon arrival, Osher was murdered by Hamas terrorists, and his father was declared missing. Osher grew up in the youth division of M.S. in Be’er Sheva and had recently been part of the senior team. He had played one game this season for his team. On September 27th, he scored his first goal of the season in minute 65. The game ended in a 2:2 tie. His friends say that Kobi accompanied his son to every game and practice. It was natural that the father would drive the son to his base after being urgently deployed by his commanders.
