Corporal Martin Kuzmickas

Emergency Worker

A The police station in Sderot was, unfortunately, the scene of a disaster on the seventh of October. One of the dead in the battle with the terrorists is Corporal Martin Kuzmitczaks, the late commander of the “Baz” squadron in the MTPA unit (Directorate of Coordination of Enforcement Operations).

On Saturday morning, after doing a night shift, Martin heard a shot, took his weapon and operational equipment and went towards the sounds of the gunfire. He joined the commander of the southern district, Superintendent Amir Cohen, with the intention of participating the fight that was going on at the police station.
Together with the district commander, the two began fighting and even eliminated several terrorists who raided the city. By doing so, they saved the lives of many civilians. During the shootout, Martin was hit by sniper fire and killed.

The commander of the southern district, Cohen, says: “A few moments before the encounter, Martin said, ‘Commander, this is what I was waiting for, to fight terrorists.'”
Dear man, pleasant walks and quiet, dear neighbor.”
