Captain Yotam Ben-Basat

Yotam grew up in Bat Hefer and studied at Sdot Elementary School. He completed an academic track and was part of a sports program in Ruppin Education Campus. From a young age, he played tennis and even won several championships. “Tennis was his main hobby,” his father recounts. “He was a boy who set goals for himself and achieved them.” Yotam was killed in battle against Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Envelope. His death shocked his family, friends, and the residents of Bat Hefer.

  1. I am writing to you from Pennsylvania, United States. I am heartbroken over the loss of Yotam and want to express my deep sorrow to his family, friends, and neighbors of Bat Hefer for this tragedy. I know he will never be forgotten as a brave, strong chayal. A hero. My daughter has been a tennis player for many years. It takes a lot of intelligence to play well, and I see that Yotam won several championships. That. shows he enjoyed life. I wish you all koach. We continue to daven for Israel and all of the chayalim. Stay strong!
