Avia Hetzroni z”l, taken from us in Be’eri, was more than a beloved grandfather. He was the primary caregiver to his twin grandchildren, Yannai and Liel, whose mother, his only daughter, Shira, had suffered severe brain damage almost 13 years ago during childbirth. Avia served as a father, mother, and grandfather
all in one to them. Yannai Hetzroni, his 12-year-old grandson, also from Kibbutz Be’eri, was a dedicated fan of the Barcelona Football Club, since he was just six years old. His ultimate dream was to see Barcelona play at Camp Nou—a dream that will now never be realized.
In this tragic loss, the enduring love and resilience that Avia gave to his family stand as his lasting legacy.
