Asaf’s sister wrote: ‘My Asaf, my little beloved brother, I can’t believe this is reality, it’s the worst nightmare, my biggest fear, I can’t believe this is true, I can’t imagine my life without you. Asaf, I don’t want to wake up in a world where you’re not here, it hurts, I’m falling apart. I would give anything to hug you, to feel you, I’m so sorry Asaf, how I didn’t protect you, how I didn’t take care of you, I’m so sorry. I can’t describe how talented you are, whoever met you knows, you were the best friend, the best brother, the best son, to everyone you were the best, the most loved. Everyone who met you was simply blessed and I was blessed to be your big sister, your biggest fan, from the day you were born you were my heart, my greatest love and you always will be. I can’t write about you in the past tense, my heart simply stops when I try to describe you, it hurts so much. You deserve that everyone knows who you were and I will still do it, I promise.
