Arik Peretz took his daughter Ruth to every trance party, both in Israel and abroad. At 58, he was a father who did everything to make the world accessible for his 17-year-old daughter, who lived with cerebral palsy. Both were found dead after nearly two weeks of uncertainty. However, their family has stated that there’s no definite identification of Ruth, so they’re still holding onto some hope that she might be found. “Arik is an Israeli hero, the most wonderful father in the world,” testified Avi Nissim from the duo Astral Projection, who met them at countless parties. “He devoted his life entirely to his beloved daughter Ruth. Ruth showed everyone that it’s possible to celebrate life even with severe limitations. They never missed a single party,” recalls the artist. “Ruth would spin around in her wheelchair, immersed in the music; I would watch her from the side, amazed and excited.”
