  1. Shalom. You do not know me, but I extend to you my condolences. I also extend my condolences to everyone who has lost loved ones in this act of barbarism. I do identify with Adir Gaori. I was in the service once myself, but in another country and in another conflict. I cannot say I know how you are feeling, those whom he has left behind, but I can only say that I share in your sorrow. If this message helps to carry some of your burden, then let it be so. I stand by you, your people, and your nation. If I can do more, I would.

I grieve with you, but I also want to give you hope. One day, all tears will be wiped away. One day all suffering will cease. Take care of yourselves.

  2. The mesirat nefesh of your son will never be forgotten.
Klal Yisrael and our community are forever grateful for his bravery.
May his memory be a blessing and strengthen Israel and the world in our fight for good against evil.

  3. I write in hopes of giving chizuk. We at Lower Merion Synagogue in Bala Cynwyd, PA (USA) are trying to keep your son’s memory alive in our community. We grieve and pray with you, from across the Atlantic Ocean.

  4. To the Gaori Family,

Adir was a hero. An extraordinary hero. A member of Sayeret Matkal. All of Klal Yisrael grieves for his tragic loss because we were deprived of a fighter, a defender, a heroic Jew who fought to protect us even in his final hours. Please accept my deepest condolences. May God avenge Adir’s blood and give you comfort among the mourners of Tzion and Yerushalayim.
