Lt. Shlomo Gurtovnik from Modi’in-Maccabim-Reut, a combat medic in the 46th Battalion of the ‘Iron Trails’ Brigade (401), fell in battle in the Gaza Strip. The son of Alexander and Sofia, he was 21 at the time of his death.

His family eulogized: “We are shocked and grieving. We regret that we will not all experience more of his goodness and the great warmth he radiated to us all, as if he wanted to give just a little more good. Shlomo Gurtovnik, we will remember and perpetuate your memory forever.”
