Yaniv, 54, a loving and devoted father, salt-of-the-earth, a photographer for “Israel Today” and Channel 13. Yasmin, 49, recently completed her master’s degree with honors, an important part of the academic staff at Sapir College. Their daughter Keshet, 20, was intelligent, opinionated, sensitive, and kind-hearted. Tchelet, 18, was beautiful and an excellent student. She had just began a year of national service and volunteered at the “Revadim” home for youth with psychological struggles. Friends say the Zohar family was always smiling, loved their land and Netiv HaAsara, and excelled at making those different from them feel acknowledged and accepted.

What a loss for Am Yisrael – an entire family destroyed. Such beautiful people.
I am heartbroken over the murder of this lovely family. May you be comforted among the mourners of Tzion and Yerushalayim.
Dear friends of the Zohar family,
All American Jews share in your grief. The murder of this beautiful family defies all understanding and demands our rage. While the description here is short, even a short description captures the joy and intelligence of the Zohars. May you be comforted among the mourners of Tzion and Yerushalayim.
